Best new excuse for being late

Today on my way to class there was a HOUSE coming down the road. Yes, a house. We've all seen them on the highway, but this was a little side road next to the university. I kept plowing down the street thinking my eyes were playing tricks on me. Sure enough, though, the house was taking up the ENTIRE road. Thus, I turned around and drove around the entire circumference of the campus. And I was late.
